I'm Michael Koops. I am an educator, researcher, artist, and father. I've spent 30 years working in Saskatchewan schools. I'm currently the principal of FHQ Virtual School within the File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council. I'm also working on my Doctor of Education at the University of Regina, where my research looks at creativity and how it shows up or doesn't, depending on the spaces that people live in. I'm curious about why some people walk into a room and feel creative, while others walk into the same room and feel like they have nothing to offer. The exploration of individual talent is incomplete in describing the phenomenon of creativity. The environment shapes whether people believe they are creative or not.
